What language support costs
Language work varies too much for a single rate card to tell the whole story. We price the actual scope and confirm it in writing before an assignment is booked.
On-site interpreting
Rate on request per hour, 2-hour minimum
- Two-hour minimum per assignment
- Mileage and travel billed separately
- Confirmed by email before booking
- Additional time billed in 30-minute blocks
Remote interpreting
Rate on request per hour, 1-hour minimum
- Video or phone, your platform or ours
- One-hour minimum
- No travel charges
- Same-day availability where an interpreter is free
Document translation
Rate on request per source word
- Certificate of accuracy included
- Formatting preserved
- Notarization and Apostille quoted separately
- Rush turnaround available
Published rates are pending. The practice has not yet released per-hour and per-word figures. The structure, minimums, and separately-billed items below are correct; the numbers are placeholders until confirmed.
What affects a rate
How a quote is built
We review the request first, so the price reflects the work you are actually asking for.
Language pair
Availability of qualified interpreters in the pair, and the certification the setting requires.
Notice and duration
How much notice we have, the scheduled length, and whether the assignment recurs.
Setting and travel
The setting, any access or credentialing requirements, and for on-site work, mileage and travel.
Note: Items that may be billed separately: mileage or travel, parking or tolls, rush service, printing, mailing or courier delivery, government filing or apostille fees, special formatting, and work added after the original scope is approved. Any applicable charge is identified in the quote.
